Tenmat shares EPD for FF102 product range

ENVIRONMENTAL PRODUCT DECLARATION

Measuring the environmental impact of fire protection

We believe in total transparency when it comes to our passive fire protection solutions, from the properties of our raw ingredients right through to final product manufacture. That’s why we’re delighted to share our EPD (Environmental Product Declaration) for our FF102 products – FF102/25, VFB Plus, VFB 120/120 – in accordance with ISO 14025 and 21930.

What is an EPD? A document that reports the environmental impact of a product based on a product life-cycle assessment.

COMMITTED TO TOTAL TRANSPARENCY

Our manufacturing process

Our Manufacturing Process starts with sourcing essential raw ingredients and bringing them to our Irlam site where they are mixed, formed, cut, and packaged into individual products – all in-house. Not only is this good practice in terms of sustainability, but also means we have complete control over our manufacturing process to ensure our products are performance and safety approved before shipping. What’s more, the 60 year service life of our barriers further reduces the environmental impact of crucial passive fire protection systems within a build.

verified, credible, and transparent

We’re happy to be able to share our latest EPD covering our key cavity barrier products that furthers our continued commitment to providing 3rd party verified, credible and transparent information to the market. This will allow our customers and key stakeholders to make informed and environmentally conscious decisions from a life cycle perspective when selecting cavity fire barriers. This sustainability information gives further choice to specifiers over and above our already extensive range of 3rd party and CCPI verified fire test data and product information.
